Last Friday our boys' cricket team played Empire Bay PS in the first round of the NSW PSSA School knockout. On a damp field our enthusiastic cricketers played well. Empire Bay batted first and after an early wicket, some wayward bowling from Brisbania kept them in the game. Empire Bay ended up scoring 73 runs.
When Brisbania came into bat we made a positive start but then the loss of three quick wickets put some pressure on the team. However Michael, ably supported by Lachlan batted superbly and Brisbania went on to score 94.
Well done boys. The team know moves onto the second round of the State Knockout against Kincumber PS.
