Stories and highlights
There's always something to celebrate at our school! From exciting events to proud moments and everyday wins, here are some of our highlights.
A year at our school
Zone Athletics Carnival
59 students proudly represented BPS at the Southern Central Coast Zone Athletics Carnival. They competed with determination and team spirit. Many students achieved personal bests, with several earning ribbons and progressing to the Sydney North PSSA Championships. A standout moment was Darcie and Rocco breaking records in their debut carnival events.
Thank you to our supportive parents, carers, community and staff who made the day such a success.
Girls Football (Soccer)
Our amazingly talented girls soccer team continue to represent BPS with pride, showing outstanding effort and teamwork as they continue to progress through the PSSA Knockout competition.
While her teammates were playing their latest rounds, one of our soccer superstars, Ivy was on representative duties, playing in the NSW PSSA State Cup. Ivy's Sydney North Regional team achieved the silver medal after a very close grand final.
NRL Roosters 9s
Outstanding sportsmanship from our junior and senior teams in the NRL Roosters' 9s Gala Day.
Fantastic leadership from our experienced players and an amazing display of confidence, persistence and resilience from those new to the game made it a fun and successful day for both teams. Brisbania is proud of the quality representation from all participants.
Amazing efforts from all of our competitors delivering their speeches at the Zone public speaking competition against representatives from 49 Central Coast Schools. Special congratulations to Darcie who will go on to the Stage 3 grand final.
Robo Cup
Four Brisbania Robocup teams competed at the NSW State Championships across two events. Our performance team, wowed the judges with their cute and creative routine, complete with robotic capybaras they designed and built. The Brisbania robot soccer teams finished in 6th, 3rd an 1st places!
Amazing results achieved through hard work and persistence under the guidance of Mrs Cummings.
National Science Week - Decoding the Universe
What an amazing display we had in the hall to celebrate Science Week. Kindergarten to Year 2 investigated our solar system, Stage 2 explored First Nations' beliefs and understanding of space and Stage 3 designed and built their own telescopes and sundials.
Thank you for all the effort that was put into the projects. Well done to the 3 winners from each grade!
NAIDOC Week
Brisbania Public School celebrated NAIDOC Week 2025 with a range of cultural learning experiences. The week opened with an assembly led by our Year 6 Aboriginal leaders, followed by a family breakfast and a whole school smoking ceremony. Students enjoyed workshops from “Bush to Bowl,” exploring native plants, dance, and Indigenous games. Embracing the theme “The Next Generation: Strength, Vision and Legacy,” our community honoured culture, history, and future generations. A special thank you to our canteen team, staff, and students for making the celebrations so memorable.
"Fun, non-competetive sports days like this are a great opportunity for all kids to try something new and experience a gala day.” Parent feedback from the NRL Roosters 9s gala day.
